lazy

So I'm totally lazy and haven't posted in quite a while. I like to waste a lot of time reading crap online. well a lot of it is crap but not all of it. and I like to do who knows what for hours on facebook. I did watch some tv tonight...got to see the Red Sox lose to the Rays in the ALCS. Glad to see the Sox didn't make it back to the World Series, now I'll be able to watch it. It would have been too painful otherwise.

I had a great time in NY. It felt like I was there for a month. Weather was good, got to see most but not all of the people I wanted to, and most importantly made it to Yankee Stadium one last time. Well, is that more important than Danielle's Christening? Not sure, it's a toss up.

It was hard to come back but made a little easier knowing my parents will be here in a few weeks for Danielle's 1st birthday. Can't believe it's been a year already. Although if you told me it's been 5 I'd believe you. She's almost walking for real. She walked all the way across the living room today. Partly carried by momentum but she did it none the less. She's getting a lot more demanding. She's starting to discover that she can communicate what she wants. Like now everytime I eat infront of her she wants some. She'll stand by me and try to grab whatever it is. To be fair she likes to feed me her food, too, which isn't always a good thing. Have you ever tasted cold pureed vegetables? She's also starting to realize what I react to, like touching the outlet on the wall. It's a game to her. She stands by it and looks at me like with a big smile on her face knowing I'm going to come over if she puts her finger on it. and she likes it when i crawl around after her all around the upstairs of the house. At least I'm getting some exercise.

In other non-Danielle happenings, I had a massage this weekend for the 1st time in a very long time. It was great. I went to the La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, which happens to be 5 minutes from my house so hopefully I'll get to take advantage of it often. Mike got me a gift certificate for my birthday back in March and I finally used it. I spent about 2.5 hours there. They have a pool,, whirlpool, sauna, and steam room that you can use before and after your treatment so I took full advantage. The whole complex is relaxing. As soon as you drive in it feels like you're on vacation. Hard to believe it's so close to my house. Not that I can complain about anything around here, you know, living 10 minutes from the beach and having sunny weather all year long:)
